I met my husband because of this programme. The person who introduced us asked if I watched Neighbours, I said yes sometimes. He said good, you’ll understand the accent then, and bought Tony over.
However, it was Jesus who said “Love thy neighbour as thyself”, but did he just mean the folks next door?
One imagines that as he was at the very least a highly regarded prophet, and at the most the Son of God, he didn’t deal in small matters.
So my thinking is that our neighbours are every country, every religion, every race, every colour, every creed. Anyone we come into contact with, regardless of birthplace or gender.
If we all emanate from spirit, if we are all children of God, then we are more than neighbours, we are family.
One of the biggest mistakes humanity has ever made is to separate God out through language. Many of us believe in one God and can’t see the resonance between Stephen and Stefan in different languages, and God, Allah, Yahweh, Krishna, and so on.

Why not put the fear away and the weapons down, and make our neighbours into the family that they are?
Humanity needs to grow up at some point. Not would be a good time.
I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me.
