Being Sensible?

What could you try for the first time?

This is not sensible!

Okay so full disclosure, I am the most unadventurous person on the planet. Whilst this might look thrilling to some, trying it would push me beyond the bounds of insanity!

However, the title isn’t inappropriate because I am absolutely scatty. The times you hear “well that was never going to work” muttered in a frustrated voice emanating from me, are without number.

Examples would be…

This! If I have to carry items down the stairs I will carry everything at once, performing a delicate but complex balancing act worthy of a tightrope walker.

Placing a plate of food on a kitchen worktop, bending down to pick up the fork I dropped, reaching up to hold onto the worktop for balance while I get up, grabbing the edge of the plate instead, tipping cheese and biscuits all over me, and having to duck the flying plate which then breaks.

Always aiming to arrive on time, not allowing so much as a nanosecond’s leeway in case of delays.

Such as returning to the house for my glasses, leaving then going back in to check the kitchen door is closed, then realising I took my glasses back in with me and left them on the worktop. At which point five cats turn up in urgent need of food, I can’t find the door keys (I left in the front door), and now I’m half an hour late!

This can be further unimproved by daydreaming leading to heading in the wrong direction.

You get the picture? I spend half my life in a daydream leaving various amounts of havoc and misplaced items in my wake, but I’m happy in my own little world.

Sensible would help, but it would ruin the magic that is me!

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
