Touch

This is the first poem in the Source series. It reminds us that feelings are more important than thoughts, and the only way to know God is through an emotional connection. There is no logic to just knowing that God is a reality for you, but it is the only way to know that energy.

I refer to it as source because it transcends all religions and belongs to none of them. To me, purely personally, this is the energy that created the entire universe. If our minds are stored in our energy (atomic) field, then it’s quite reasonable that the power of the universe has a consciousness and dwells there.

My relationship has changed over time from thinking of that energy as a him that you find in a church, to a him that you find out in nature, and a him that you find in the ideas of babies and souls of animals. To something more powerful that is everywhere all at once. You might say I now had a modern-energetic-tech approach to God.

I prefer Source, I use the English spelling because I’m English, but to me that energy is all that is, the centre of the universe, connecting across the galaxies, right back to the beginning of time. It’s just a feeling, I can’t prove it, but I like it better than trapping Him in a building and acting as if only a few people can connect us. To me the energy comes through as male, but I’d be pretty sure it can flex it’s energy to provide what every person needs from it. My cats probably think it’s a cat, considering how much I love cats, that’s fine by me!

I hope you like the poem, best love – Amorah – Deb

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
