Dual Mind Angst

What’s a topic or issue about which you’ve changed your mind?

Dark chocolate isn’t altogether disgusting

I used to hate dark chocolate, now I can bear it. Although I did try a 100% dark chocolate and I’m still waiting for my tastebuds to recover. There is no way eating that was good for me. My teeth nearly left home!

Not keen on grapefruit either

The other thing is autocorrect, or as I call it ‘autocrap’.

I was a 98 1/2 word per minute typist with 99.3% accuracy, but on a phone I was continually embarrassed by my phone trying to guess what I meant. How it thinks it can do that when I haven’t made up my mind what I mean I don’t know.

I can bear grapefruit now too, so that’s a part change of mind. Autocrap I flip-flop on because some of those errors are hilarious.

Globalisation was, I thought, a good idea. I’m not so sure now. I think growing and buying locally, manufacturing and distributing in your own country, makes individual economies stronger.

It also reduces the use of fossil fuels dramatically. So I’m probably definitely against that maybe, except there are some pluses.

I’m not like that – thank heavens for a few well placed checks and balances in my birth chart

However, this is a cruel question for a Gemini, we’re a mutable star sign. That means we’re the philosophers who don’t take sides.

This can render decision making difficult, yet I have no problem with problem solving. Work that one out. I love tackling issues, but choosing a colour to wear, now that undoes me.

I think mutables exist to confuse, but then what do you expect when we have a mind so flexible that we can see every normal point of view, and can work out all the options at once. We spend our lives thinking!

Normal as in everyday discussion. Working out what the heck some world leaders are thinking, no. Flexibility can only stretch so far, and understanding them is “third star to the right and straight on ‘til morning” stuff. To quote Peter Pan, who has more chance of making sense of them than I do.

Besides, is there a morning in space?

Possibly me

So, I think where we are on this question is:

I may change my mind several times, during which I may forget what I’m changing my mind about, in which case my conclusions may vary, and the answer to “do you think Reform will win the next general election?” will be “no I’ve decided grapefruits are too sour, dark chocolate is spawn of the devil, and I think I’ll wear blue tomorrow.”

Unless I change my mind…

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
