What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

These fancy objects can’t be repaired by replacing a washer. Even worse, most taps are made to be thrown away nowadays if they start to drip.
It’s all about the money. Forget the planet. Forget that the general public don’t have endless pockets, and in the UK we’re now facing even more tax rises plus another raid on our families after we die.
This is the worst government in a very long time. Failed on every promise. Yes it was the other guys fault, if you conveniently ignore the effects of Covid and the Ukraine war as if they were mere bumps in the road.
We’ve taken a financial hit ourselves, so the idea that repairing the ensuite tap has to be a complete replacement, and the bath tap would have to be taken apart and the cartridge sent away to find out if it can be replaced, is shocking on two levels.
The planet and the pocket.
Boring?
Yes, but this world will never improve on any level until we stop these games. Stop companies producing disposable items; stop cluttering the Earth with our too carelessly purchased and too easily discarded junk.
On the news we saw a huge pile of clothes blowing in the wind, dumped in an African country, Marks and Spencer bags included. It was well on its way to 20 feet high.
In Malaysia it’s our plastic, complete with Sainsbury’s bags. We think we’re recycling and someone is paying other countries to take it, only they’re not recycling it.
Plastic blowing into the sea has created an island in the Pacific the size of Australia. I think it’s Australia. It’s big.
So thrilling blog today, sorry, but they did ask!
I’m also looking for cars. Much happier subject.

Best love
