Gratitude

What positive emotion do you feel most often?

Torvill and Dean’s last Bolero

I’ve always been grateful that alongside John Curry and Robin Cousins, these two helped to change the face of ice skating for the UK. I saw all their live shows and I just love them.

I’ve always been beyond grateful for my cats. I have so much love to give and they give so much back.

Friends

I’m lucky to have amazing friends, and I always thank God for them. I include my groups in this. But Kim, Luke, and Katrina, really need to be recognised for their sheer patience. 🤣

On the other had this pretty much explains them too:

I love flowers, but sunflowers are my favourite. They always remember to turn their face to the sun. The are the only flower to grow to the height of a man. They have 7 leaves, 52 petals, and 365 seeds. I don’t know who counted them, but I’m grateful they did.

A few?

My family suffered damage generations ago that drip fed into my generation. But I’m still grateful for my family, and even though some relationships didn’t stand the test of time, I’m grateful for everything I had with those people when it was good. There’s a difference between not being able to go any further with someone, and not loving them.

I also have my inherited daughter and her family. A bonus I never expected.

Stuck to his phone as usual

Yep I’m grateful for ratbag too. He used to call me his little bucket of dung when we first met. It’s that kind of relationship. We don’t do romance we do real. Thirty-four years of it so far. Yet no one has sent us a medal.

This guy

I only met this lovely guy a few times, yet his recent passing hit me like a sledgehammer. He had the sort of decency and kindness this world needs more of. I’m glad to have been his courtesy aunt. 6’11” of sheer kindness. Jacob Jay Nunn “Too weird to live and too rare to die”, ain’t that the truth.

Gratitude

I could go on: music; tv; rainbows; roses; animals; wild animals; the sun, moon and stars; my Guides; God. Which is a good place to pause this immense list. I’m grateful to be me too, I quite like me. I definitely love me and my body that houses my soul.

Gratitude is the healing emotion. Actively seek things that make you grateful. Really notice the good stuff in life. Keep a gratitude journal of every good thing. Focus on it hard.

It will change your life for the better.

I wish you much to be grateful for.

Best love

If you could say a few prayers for my brother please I would be grateful.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
