Space

What brings you peace?

I sit and visualise space, looking out through my third eye and allowing infinity to fill my mind, leaving no ‘space’ for thought. It’s a wonderful, simple and quick visualisation that you can use anytime if you feel flustered, or homicidal.

Cats have been the saving grace of my life, and just sitting with a purring cat is enough to make the world go away.

Chocolate is a lovely little treat if you feel down. Just a couple of squares, not enough to give your dentist a heart attack. I’m supposed to recommend dark chocolate of course, but I’m not that cruel.

I love the sea, I went on a cruise when I was 13, and my best times were standing on that deck alone just looking out to sea. Just me and nature.

I love people I can laugh with. Sadly, recently I’ve lived an isolated life. I tend to stay quiet nowadays as there’s a lot of stress out there, but more fun creates peace too. Nothing like dropping off at night with nothing but good memories and still giggling.

Writing is where I clear my mind by working out my thoughts. I prefer poetry for that as you have to get into the feeling and the meaning of your thoughts, rather than just grumble and moan. You have to paint an image a reader will want to read, either to uplift or to say “you’re not alone”.

I’ve just updated a poem which is a good example of this. Have a “Wonderful Day”!

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
