What profession do you admire most and why?

Many years ago I said to my ex husband that the NHS were heroes. He said “What about the dustmen? Without them we would have thousands of rats and the black plague back.”
That made me think.
So I appreciate the good that people do, I really appreciate our troops being willing to put their lives on the line, I’m grateful for vets, but I always remember that the most humble-seeming job makes a difference somewhere along the line.
You might say that those who keep the NHS wards clean are equally as important as the doctors who save lives, they’d have their work cut out without those cleaners.
Everyone is a hero in their own way. Sometimes just for having the courage to get up in the morning.
I’m grateful for so much, but I remember that there are people out there doing things I don’t know about.
One I do know about is those who clean our sewers, they’re often blocked because selfish people can’t put a face or baby wipe in a bin. It’s one of the highest levels of selfishness there is. The houses involved should be made to go down there and clean it up. That would stop them.
The people I do admire are those who have a sense that others are important and live their lives with that awareness. The ones who also understand that animals and the natural world matter too – are pearls beyond price in this world.
Be a pearl
Best love

Each one of us is a hero in our own way! I agree with you, Deb. Stay amazing. Every human being is important, so as animals.
