Peace and Quiet

What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

My idea of hell – especially if balloons are involved as they’re terrible for wildlife and cattle

I find the world too noisy. Too many people rattling around makes me tense.

People can be energetically noisy as well as physically so. They come in twanging like a bowstring, insisting they’re great, as they sweep past leaving emotional havoc in their wake.

Because I’m a psychic and empath I pick up on others, and a perfectly nice evening for everyone else can be one I’m desperate to escape.

People often interpret my standing back as coldness, standoffishness, but it’s sheer self-preservation.

I’m not unusual, I’m one of the lucky ones that realises what the energy of others does to you. Everyone is psychic and the lack of awareness of that results in people carrying a lot of emotions that are not their own, without realising it.

The clue is that two seconds ago you felt great, you walk into a room and suddenly you feel rubbish. It’s not you.

The trouble is that psychic is a much denigrated, much misunderstood idea. As a result, any number of people would rather be grumpy nervous wrecks than admit that they pick up on others.

It’s a natural human trait, nothing more. The term “I can read people like a book” is acceptable though, except it means you’re psychic. 🤣

You can run from the ability but you can’t hide!

You can so easily become exhausted by mingling with others and not know why. I know, and I maintain my inner comfort by protecting my mind with peace and silence.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
