I Am but I Don’t

How do you want to retire?

I’m three years past retirement age yet my work is taking off and I love it. I’m energised by it.

It’s taken me twenty years to find myself in my work, but I don’t mind that as I learn then I share. It was my life path to do it this way. A heck of a lot of knowledge and experience has led to where I am now. I honestly believe that knowledge must be experienced otherwise it’s just theory.

Let’s face it, you could know everything there is to know about brain surgery, but no one is going to let you near them with a scalpel unless you have the experience to back it up.

Okay, I’m not doing anything so fancy, but it’s still important that you change before you set out to help others. It has to be a path you’ve walked. ‘In theory’ is not the right way to teach.

‘I’ve done this, I’ve tested it’ is.

At my age?

Change at any age is great. Feeling better the older you get is great. Having something new in your life is great.

Life only stops improving if you choose the wrong beliefs about ageing. Choose wisely.

From 5-16 you can be forced to go to school.

From 16-67 you can be forced to go to work.

I am free to do as I please.

It pleases me to be useful.

Nothing is more important than feeling good, and if you can help others to do that…why would you stop?

That’s all.

Best love

P.S. If you need to know how to be an ageing rebel, I’m here for you. No I no longer bother with stiletto heels, but I do wear heeled trainers that sparkle and change colour in the sun! You’re never too old for glitter, sequins, and your own style of fashion.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
