I’m also a very good team player. I don’t need to lead, it just happens. Three times I’ve been voted as leader when I wasn’t in the room. I don’t mind. If people trust me I’ll do it. The outcome is the focus, not the individual.
This is why politics annoys me, the focus is the country and the country is its people, not who can frame the wittiest insult in parliament, or why it’s the other sides’ fault. Party first has no place in politics.
What makes me comfortable is that I may be born to lead, but I was also born to help, support, and encourage. You never get the best out of anyone by tearing them down.
Besides, no leader leads forever. Political leaders tend to get thrown out. So hang on to your humanity, do your job to the best of your ability, be aware of your affect on others, and it won’t matter what your role is as long as you’re achieving the right outcome.
I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me.
