My Heart

What gives you direction in life?

Yes I’m starting with that same idea that I write about often, but it is the main thing that provides guidance in my life.

This is because I’ve discovered that if something isn’t important to me I don’t give it that much attention. Housework and decorating come under that category. Going out and having fun does not.

I wish I was apologetic, but I’m not. Yes I keep the house clean, it’s never dirty. I do all the sinks, baths, toilets, shower, stuff. I have a wonderful extending duster that makes dusting a joy, and a mini vacuum for small messes and doing cat’s beds. I’m not a sloven. But I do these things because I have to.

All about me

As a person I care deeply about the welfare of others. I did work in business for a while but it made nowhere near as much sense as my time in the NHS. That called to my heart.

This isn’t a criticism of anyone else working in anything else. Business pays the bills, it has its place, every aspect of work adds something to society. Garbage disposal workers are invaluable, they save so many lives by preventing disease.

But we are what we are and I am a people person.

Seat of soul

For me the heart is the seat of the soul energy that animates us. The atoms that make us tick. The blueprint that holds all our information since the dawn of time. It’s something I’ve learned from the teachings I’ve received, that feels right to me.

People will have many opinions on this, but as those beliefs revolve around respect for the self and others, all life matters, everyone has a right to be themselves providing they harm nothing or no one, I’m very comfortable with them.

When I mentor in my groups I support people to find their own way through life, I don’t teach anything, I throw ideas into a pot, we do visualisations, and they take from it what they need.

No human adult can teach another how to be, or who to be, but you can support them to be who they want to be. Just give them the time and space to find out with full and unequivocal support.

This is the first time my work has made sense to me. It is me. I was never good enough and I make sure that people around me know that they’re valued and appreciated just the way they are. If they want help with something I’m there, if not I just love them.

That’s what my heart says, that’s the voice I listen to (apart from my guides), and I have plenty of people in my groups to keep me on track. My chances of ever becoming too thrilled by myself are minimal. We would none of us allow that to happen to each other.

One race, all facing similar struggles, no barriers, no judgement, all in this together.

Listen to your heart – it knows, it’s the most underrated mind in the human body.

Best love

P.S. The human Endocrine System consists of 7 major glands that run the human body, and they all have brain cells. Yes actual brain cells, and those 7 glands communicate with each other, and the brain, to keep us in balance. We’re a walking miracle, and the heart does know!

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
