Night Owl

What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

I don’t know if this is a night owl, but I love the eyebrows and the expression.

I come under the heading that you’ll have to stay up late at night to catch me early in the morning.

I’m rarely asleep before 2 am, then I generally wake between 8.30 and 9 am. So first thing in my morning I’m either reading a book or playing stupid games on my smart phone that I’m ridiculously obsessed with, and makes me wish I’d either never heard of a smart phone or knew what I’d done with my willpower.

Gemini’s are apparently the eternal big kids.

Although in honesty, focus and willpower are not my greatest strengths. If I am focused and committed you can be certain I’m part of a team. Give me a team of people and I won’t let them down, me I’m not so concerned with. That of course is wrong. However, the main thing about the ‘stupid game’ is that I’m in a team of very nice people, hence trying to play to help us move forward.

Recently I purchased a Kindle Scribe and it’s been well worth the money. You can only download books! That’s helped a lot. You can also make notes in books, highlight them, and create notebooks for other things. Now I don’t have a desk full of notebooks, I have my scribe and I know where every notebook is.

Except that maybe, and this will remain unconfirmed, just maybe, I have bought a few notebooks lately.

You know what they say about writers, they have to have notebooks and pens even now, when they can write on a computer. I don’t have all the notebooks, or all the pens, but I’m working on it. There’s something about opening a drawer full of pens that reminds you to write.

That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
