If you could have something named after you, what would it be?

But I wouldn’t want it named after me, it would be:
Happiness Bridge
The bridge from where you are now to a truly happy life in line with your dreams. Every time you see it or drive across it you check your happiness levels.
No one wants to turn into a self-obsessed worrier, so that’s just a short period of reflection whilst driving.
You’ll have to think fast without spiralling into “what’s if’s and what if I can’t’s” if you’re going to come up with one simple step forward by the time you leave the bridge. Something you can easily do. Maybe just one tweak in mindset.
If you need longer reflection go and sit where you can see the bridge, pick a number between 1 and 60 minutes, set a timer on your phone or watch, or just note the time. Then sit and quietly daydream.
Don’t try to solve a problem, start by imagining a life in which you feel amazing.
- Where are you?
- What are you doing?
- Where do you work?
- Are the people really friendly, or do you work from home?
- Where is your home? Is it the one you have now?
- Are you still in your relationship?
You get the picture, let your mind float, set it free to tell you your truth. It may help to sit with your hands over your heart. Feel whether an idea generates happiness or tension.
That’s how you learn the difference between the logic of what you feel you should do and the truth that will make you happy.
You can betray your true feelings but it will only bring unhappiness. Yes we’re taught to follow money, but I definitely needed a lot more happiness to put me in the mindset to do that.
Had I been happy and relaxed enough to be myself, the sky would have been no limit whatsoever. Instead my energy has mainly gone into getting out of bed. That was exhausting enough. No sympathy required, I learned a lot from that, including the unquestionable importance of feeling happy.
Success flows from excitement. Excitement creates commitment. Commitment leads to success. In whatever means everything to you.
That’s the key you need to find, the one that makes you fly out of bed in the morning, rushing the getting ready process to take on the world for another meaningful and exciting day.
The key is happiness
Protect it fiercely.
Maybe now, whenever you see a bridge, you’ll think of this blog, and use it to get on the right track for you.
No one will ever name a bridge for me not after me, so we will all, myself included, have to take advantage of all the bridges. You could travel the world finding the finest bridges to cross.
Even if only in your own mind. Visualisation works just as well.
But wherever you see a bridge, take a moment.
Love for a happy day

When I drive from London to my ‘home’ Wales I drive across a bridge. It does just that – makes me feel happy.

That’s lovely to hear. London is my home, I regret ever moving away.

We often do things we regret, but you will have the opportunity to come back.

As they always say, if you move away from London you’ll never afford to come back. They last thing I was there I was in the House of Commons lockdown. Kinda ruined the visit, although it was interesting. Keith Palmer’s murder was the worst part, the rest was just waiting.
