You Ask a Writer for ONE Word?!

What is one word that describes you?

My brain hurts! This is sooo unfair! Me a Gemini! An inner twin! One word? My inner team are fighting at the moment.

One wants stoic, the other quite rightly says that’s not always true. The other wants kind, but then twinny pointed out rather pithily ‘sometimes too kind!’

I went for fun but both asked when was the last time we had any real fun. That’s not unfair.

The three of us remain undecided and unable to agree, which is upsetting as there are only supposed to be two of us.

Plus a writer can’t make a career out of one word! It’s impossible. We need all the words.

Whilst we argue I’ll just leave this here, I don’t think it describes me completely, certainly I struggle to think about warmongers, murderers, abusers of all kinds, rapists, money-pit billionnaires, in these terms.

Archangel/Saint Michael

As you may imagine the word isn’t Saint and if I were an angel I’d be the one with a sword and glint in my eye!

“Be nice and don’t test my resolve!” I have deep beliefs but I am not soft, my woke comes with glare not a tear.

But if it has to be one word it’s the single most important word on the planet: LOVE.

It’s what I am for the sake of this world. I have the intelligence to understand that “God is love”, is a huge clue and I’m doing my best. The more violent this world becomes the more this word defines me.

I am the ultimate rebel. I will believe and I will hold the line.

The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
