I Forget

What is the last thing you learned?

I’m learning all the time so it’s hard to remember what the last thing was.

There are things I thought I’d never learn though:

  • That this world would go mad – again.
  • That America would vote for an inexplicable President.
  • That war is still a thing .
  • Mysogeny still rules.
  • Women can’t define what a woman is.
  • Racial prejudice is alive and hasn’t been kicked out.
  • The fact that there are more than two genders surprised me not at all; the fact that people who don’t know what that’s like feel that they can comment, does.
  • Our Labour government apparently can’t spell. They promised to target the rich, but they think non-dom status is spelt pensioners. Tax evaders are spelt welfare recipients. It’s a great idea to target companies with higher employee National Insurance, so raising taxes is now spelt redundancy.
  • That people don’t realise the irony that they think the news they believe is truth and the one they don’t believe is fake. The vice versa rule makes a mockery of that.

Apart from that and much more like it, a very large iceberg has grounded off Georgia and is about to trash the eco system. All that sea and it managed to bump into something that small. Mind you it had been trapped going round in circles for years, which might explain it.

Much like humanity really, 1914, few spins, 1939, few spins, let’s start another war. I mean seriously?

I’m off to study how long it takes a dung beetle to walk a mile. It’s got to be more rewarding.

Peace and love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
