How Long Have You Got?

If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

My list would be endless and include every weapon, smartphones, that can be used as bombs for one thing, let alone wasting time when we could experience connections for real.

Then there are technological tablets, tablets that don’t cure mental health issues (just one example), chemicals in our food that addict you and destroy your mind, AI, and on and on and on.

But let’s take AI as a supreme example. The medical profession are having fantastic results with it. Scientists are finding it invaluable. But humans are abusing it to the point that it’s going to be safer to detach from the world and go back to a more personal society with a less broad view of life.

Because we have no idea if the truth is out there, or dead!

Maybe that’s a good thing, going back to a more natural less pressured life, I think so.

How about a different question?

Is it about un-inventing or is it about the human race?

Whatever is invented isn’t it about how we use, or abuse it?

A gun not fired is an inanimate object that can do no harm. Money can be a tremendous force for good, or be used to do great harm.

A nuclear missile is a useless chunk of technology until it’s fired.

There are many things I’d love to un-invent, but the inventions aren’t the issue.

Humans manipulating everything is the issue.

From filling our food with poisons that addict us, to building weapons, to hating just because hate is available as an emotion, then acting on it, we are the one thing destroying this planet, the animal kingdom, the insects that keep us alive.

We’re poisoning our own food chain. Destroying our atmosphere. Killing each other.

We only need to stop.

Do we have the courage though?

Another important question with only one answer right now.

No.

If you’re a voice for good, for inclusion, for respect for all life forms, get louder. You’re one of an army of heroes who need to be more vocal, and far prouder of who you are.

Music is good though – anything that uplifts is a blessing. Let’s do more of that.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
