It’s 0.30 in the morning!

What snack would you eat right now?

As such there is only one sensible snack – chocolate. It’s not too filling that it stops you sleeping, therefore it’s a wise choice.

It’s also a sensible mid morning and afternoon snack to keep you going as it doesn’t take long to eat if you’re busy.

An evening on the sofa watching tv is enhanced by a small chocolate infusion.

It’s very handy when you’re out for the day as it doesn’t add much weight to pockets and handbags. Nor does it take up much room in your flight bag, or suitcase.

The real bonus though is that you don’t have to cook it. You’ll never burn your mouth on it. It will never be too hot, too cold, and it’s easy to eat in bite sized chunks.

If you’re thirsty you can have hot chocolate with chocolate to dip in it, which will take care of any hunger pangs at the same time. Two birds with one stone, not one stone of chocolate though, to be clear.

It’s also not as bad on the teeth as you may think. This advice came straight from my dentist:

When given a bar of chocolate eat it all at once because sugar continues to attack the teeth for 30 minutes after you eat it. So it’s best not to nibble it over a long period of time.

So guess who bought their dentist a huge bar of chocolate for Christmas, about 800gsm I think, and put “Don’t forget, all at once” on the gift label.

I’m sure he will have appreciated it, otherwise I’m in deep sh…

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
