Shriek!

Do you ever see wild animals?

This question makes me want to scream either way.

I love wild animals. They fascinate me. I respect them and wish humanity was enormously less selfish. Just going round wiping things out by destroying their habitats and the weather. Shooting them to add a trophy to your wall. Sickening, vile, pathetic, and any other word you can think of that means it was a pity those idiots were ever born.

I understand that when you live with wild animals there may be safety concerns in a village for example, that’s different because it won’t be done for fun.

On the other hand, if I saw a wild animal in the wild I’d probably freak, maybe if it stayed put I could see myself still there two hours later absolutely riveted. But if it came towards me that would be a new land-speed record! I know you’re not supposed to run but you get the idea.

When I see them in zoos I know they’re part of breeding programmes now and also we’re helping to make sure their species survives, but that makes me want to run even when they’re sitting still. It’s so wrong even when the reasons nowadays are sadly right.

Safari parks are better, but in the snow? In the wrong country? Not running so fast or screaming so loudly, but ready to bawl humanity out for our utter and complete disregard for everything but the one species that destroys everything.

Us!

Bless those working so hard to put this right.

I could probably cope with a beaver approaching me – I think! 🤣

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
