World Fun Day

Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

It would be compulsory to attend and big multi cultural, multi-gender groups would be a rule.

Respect

At the beginning we would start with my very favourite, simple, song:

“How Could Anyone Ever Tell You?” By Karen Drucker:

“How could anyone ever tell you
You were anything less than beautiful
How could anyone ever tell you
You were less than whole
How could anyone fail to notice
That your loving is a miracle
How deeply you’re connected to my soul”

We should feel this way about everyone

It’s beautiful if you’d like to listen.

Connecting across all divides

Children would have to talk to someone different and tell what they’d learned. We could have a virtual wall with all their stories. Some lovely pictures of them and their new friends.

Sitting together and talking to each other, listening to what it is to be that person would have a dedicated hour including nice drinks and treats.

Lunch and supper would include traditional foods from every culture and group present. Including good old fish ‘n chips!

The afternoon would include lots of fun and games. Plus an area where people could go and listen to talks, poetry, monologues, on different aspects of what it means to be us.

In the evening there would be a lot of entertainment from a broad range of attendees, with comedians, music, dancing.

One voice – one world – one race – one love

It would end with a group rendition of “One Voice” by Barry Manilow.

“Just one voice
Singing in the darkness
All it takes is one voice
Singing so they hear what’s on your mind
And when you look around you’ll find

There’s more than one voice
Singing in the darkness
Joining with your one voice
Each and every note or another octave
Hands are joined and fears unlocked

If only one voice would start it on it’s own
We need just one voice facing the unknown
And then that one voice would never be alone
It takes that one voice

Ba, ba, ba, ba
Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba
Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba
It takes that one voice

Just one voice
Singing in the darkness
All it takes is one voice
Shout it out and let it ring

Just one voice
It takes that one voice
And everyone will sing”

We should have one voice

Fan or not this song is important.

People would dance into the early hours together.

We should celebrate our differences, learn from them, and hear from each other not our governments, and certainly not our media.

Love to all

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
