The Story of Modern UK Society

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin…

Society was nice. Now it’s not. Be nicer.

Prisons are full because people commit crimes. Just stop it. Whatever your personal justification, it’s a lie.

The British used to be a nation known for its decency. We need that back please.

Casual killing has become a thing in this country. We do not do that. Stop it.

This is not about immigrants, or race, watch the news, it’s epidemic. Violence needs curing in individual minds.

If you destroy society you also pay the price. As will your children. Think.

Each one of us is responsible for making our country what it is. Sadly younger generations have not had that sense of community.

They’re either committing murder at 12, 14, or experiencing terrible anxiety due to too much educational pressure at too young an age. Often also the victims of single parent families.

If you make children at least stay long enough to bring them up. Keep them fed. We used to say that “they only stayed together because of the children”. That was no bad thing. It was doing your duty by them.

Obviously this only applies where no violence occurs. You can be polite to someone you don’t love anymore to give innocents a good start.

We can’t have a fair society if we are unfair. You don’t have to be wealthier than God and save money by underpaying and overworking employees. Be fair or don’t trade in the UK.

People aren’t spending because they have no money. Let them have some if you want the economy to grow.

This country’s greatest achievement was the way we cared for those with illness and disabilities. Now we’re shockingly bad at it. It’s complex and the causes need investigating.

More tax is needed. We can’t pay more tax without creating more poverty. So million and billionnaires please step up. You have enough money. You don’t need seven houses or 42 bedrooms. Some people need one house and would be grateful to sleep three to a room.

Speak nicely. Insulting others is a sign of weakness. The strongest people are strong enough to be straight and courteous.

Give others a chance. You don’t know what they’re going through.

Stop trolling on social media. Don’t bring your kids up to live a life of anger and hate. Don’t be a negative force that doesn’t offer any positive suggestions. You’ll ruin their lives.

Violence and loss of control are weaknesses not strengths.

No one is an idiot because you think so.

Let’s stop cancelling people. No court case, no conviction, nothing to be said. We will find this easier if we stop judging what we don’t know. If we stop demanding that people are perfect.

Let’s use our eyes to see the good.

While you’re looking down on others someone is undoubtedly looking down on you. Monarch, billionaire, somewhere a collective of someones are thinking you’re beneath them for some reason.

You may be brilliant but so what if your character affects others adversely. To be worthwhile you need the whole package.

If you don’t want politicians who lie don’t vote for them. They all lie. The public are part of this ongoing game. We stop, it stops.

Reserve your judgement for war, violence, murder, abuse, theft, corporate theft, hate talk, and so on. Ordinary folk are mostly doing their best.

The name of the one true god is spelt differently in different languages. Their rules are made by men.

The animal and insect kingdoms are neither a commodity nor property. The eco system needs them all. If you take in a pet it will love you, they’re not sale or return.

Your rights as an individual allow you to think as you wish. That’s as it should be. But you’re not the only individual with those rights in this world. You’re one of over 7 billion.

United we stand – divided we fall…and fall…and fall. Generation after generation.

Whatever you think is more important than the welfare of others, you are wrong.

Moving forward

Let’s be a force for good. It’s not hard and it’s a great feeling.

The Musketeers were right – “All for one and one for all.” Then the whole world thrives.

That will do for now. Bit plain spoken but these things need facing. Let’s start the fight back for a decent society where all can thrive, and our young people are so well nurtured that they don’t need to turn to crime. And the elderly matter and are treated with respect.

Where workers are paid a fair amount of money for the work they do. Where the Post Office scandal cannot exist. Where people struggling are supported.

Let’s make learning fun for young people, and identify their strengths and educate them appropriately.

Where refugees are welcome and the paperwork is done in a timely manner.

Let’s ditch our outdated clunky systems and go for modern and sleek. That especially applies to the benefits system.

The state pension is a matter of great humanity in this country – let’s respect and protect it.

We need to stand up for this country and what it means.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
