Through meditation I relax when I’m not meditating without it I rarely relax.
We take care of our bodies but forget the one thing crucial to the health of the body, the mind.
Healthy mind, healthy body, healthy life.
No man made input can heal and support the mind, it can create a temporary fix, and whether illegal drugs, legal medication, or reaching for one more cigarette to calm you for a few more minutes, only meditation isn’t temporary.
It does need to become a habit though. It also doesn’t need to be long or complex. I’ll share a few simple ones later. It just needs to be a regular healthy practice.
I can’t stress this strongly enough
What I’ve written in no way suggests that you don’t need medical help if you’re struggling. It means help the medics to help you. Meditation cannot clash with any medication, but it can enhance its effectiveness.
I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx

Hi Deb, Maybe it’s an age thing but, as son asi go to bed, which is usually about 1 am., I become totally relaxed, I’m fortunate to be able to sleep very well. Another relaxing occupation for me is stroking my dogs. 🙏🏻💜
Wow! Very inspiring! I am also very relaxed when I meditate. I just struggle to keep it a regular practice, because often I have so much on my mind that I want to accomplish, I see it as a waste of my time (Which I know it isn’t, sometimes my brain just tells me I have better things to do).

My brain seeks to convince me I’m too busy and I drive myself nuts by being lazy. I see and feel the improvements so quickly. I feel for you.
