Light and Welcoming

What does your ideal home look like?

Not as fancy or big. It’s the light that attracts me.

Long, low, not a straight line, U-shaped probably, with a conservatory in the U. Doors that slide right back in the summer.

In truth it’s not the house it’s location and land.

Quiet. Fairly isolated. Big garden because the cats don’t go out we turn our entire garden into a cat run.

I do like an unusual shaped house. Ultimately most are a series of boxes held together with a roof. I want natural wood. Big windows. Light. Space. Easy to clean. 2 bedrooms will do. Personality.

Downstairs matters more. Open plan kitchen dining. Two studies as my husband likes to play rock music when he works. A seating area overlooking the garden, and a snug to watch TV.

A conservatory, garden room as I love sitting looking at the garden, and another garden room room for the cats that can have climbing frames around the walls and provide them with more fun.

If it’s fancy I will be uncountable. If it’s big it would be lonely.

Warm, spacious, welcoming, just big enough, easy to drive past without going wow! Just right.

It has to have a nice view. I want to open the curtains to the French doors in the bedroom and drink my coffee watching nature and weather.

The things you can’t buy but the ones that matter.

Mystic Monday – may you be pleasantly surprised by life today.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
