Bit Tired but Good

How are you feeling right now?

Yesterday we went down to Glastonbury to catch up with a lovely man who used to be our vet, and meet his wife, a warm, funny, and caring person. We also met their son. If the security of this country is partly in his hands I definitely feel safer. He’s an awesome human being.

We took them out to lunch to say thank you to Niall the vet for saving our sanity when Amie cat was so ill. Without him we would have gone nuts. He made sense of everything. He says it wasn’t necessary to thank him, but we felt that we wanted to demonstrate our thanks in a real way.

We had a wonderful afternoon with them. Discovering a great deal in common. We moved to Trowbridge in Wiltshire out of the blue. He worked at the vets a few doors down but left a couple of years before we moved in. He’s a Scot, his wife is a Londoner like me, Tony is from New Zealand. How on earth did we all land up in that quiet, not at all famous, little town?

The vet that replaced him was the first truly brilliant vet we ever had. In turn that vet recommended him when we moved to Glastonbury, he was exactly as remarkable.

They, together with the first vet we found up here were the best vets we’ve ever encountered. They made sure that you, the lay person, fully understood exactly what was going on, and were advised of things to watch for. We didn’t have that with Amie. It made it ten times worse.

I approached him in desperation, where top experts didn’t know what was going on he nailed it immediately. Now we’re blessed to have him on our side. You can’t buy magic like that. You have to show gratitude when life delivers you magic.

I believe that thank you has to be an action at times, and often you find yourself blessed in return. Although that’s not the intention it’s a wonderful outcome.

So it was a long day. An emotional day as we’re still comfortable in that area and miss it. Just a bit tired when we got home though.

Slept like a log! Bonus!

Have a wonderful day

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
