If you have £1/1$/1€/1¥ and so on, you have very little. If you add a zero you have ten times that amount, if you add six zeroes you’re a millionaire.
It’s always struck me as odd that a zero adds the greatest value. That it’s one more penny, cent, etc., that takes you from hundreds to thousands and thousands to millions.
It makes me think that sometimes we should sit back, do less, think less, add less effort. Yet make what we do more effective.
Instead of the end goal, focus on the small steps more. End goals can feel so huge, so unattainable. We can get caught up in just that focus and either feel too overwhelmed or miss important moments that would catapult us forward. Miss opportunities beneath our noses that would change everything, because our minds are in the distant future that we have to create, not dream about.
Do one thing. Do another. Look for opportunities. Don’t decide there’s only one way, all roads lead to Rome.
Those one things will add up.
Remember, it’s not always about adding, sometimes stripping away, letting go, disengaging, is the magic that moves you forward faster.
All that from nothing. Even billionaires start with nothing but an idea. Zero plus a thought.
Bill Gates and Paul Allen had an idea, they had no money. They asked all their friends to buy shares for $5. One lady told them they’d better make her money because she wouldn’t eat much that week. She became a billionaire.
Zero plus thought. Doesn’t sound too hard does it?
All that from nothing. But like thin air really. 🤣
Inspiration is everywhere.
Soothing Sunday
