Nietzsche

What’s the story behind your nickname?

My friend Jayne gave me a book of inspirational sayings as a gift, it was called “Be a Dancing Star”. Obviously it took its theme from this saying by Nietzsche.

It really resonated with me, the idea of taking your past, the hurt, the chaos, and using it as knowledge to become happier.

Your past shows you how you don’t want to be. Your mistakes teach you. The people who’ve hurt you showed you two things:

The type of person you don’t want near you

And

What you will never do to others

You know what hurts; be better.

You know how your behaviour created the wrong life; change it.

You recognise your mistakes; now respect them as your greatest teachers.

You know the chaos, how it feels to be lost, yet here you are!

If you use the past in this way you will like yourself a lot better, be more self aware and honest, recognise the “Oh no, I’m doing it again!” warning, and avoid people who are trying to diminish you to make themselves feel better.

The ability to be a Dancing Star is within us all. Now go out and create your life in the now, using the knowledge you have, And don’t let the past rule another moment of your life.

It’s gone. It’s nowhere. Unless you really want to keep dragging it up.

Dancing Stars are too busy dancing through life to bother with that nonsense!

Thinking Only Good Thoughts Thursday

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
