Spiritual Living

The spiritual field and spirituality are two different things. Working as a psychic medium is just that, work. Living a spiritual life isn’t even what I would consider to be spiritual living, for me it’s who you are, not what you do, and it isn’t attached to any religion.

It’s an acknowledgement of the existence of soul, and soul as the power that animates us. It’s not something that requires you to believe in it, it’s what you are. To acknowledge your own existence is belief enough.

What does it mean?

It means that the true self isn’t trapped in any pattern created by this life or trained into us by humans. Your blueprint is thousands of years old, there are elements of the Big Bang in our DNA, which means that part of what makes us, us, has been around for millennia.

Think about that for a moment. Realise that what you may think you are and what you are, are two very different things.

It was a version of this idea that freed me from the trap of my past, and the attitudes of my upbringing, allowing me to redefine myself as a person whose experience wasn’t limited to a short period of time in one lifetime. I could draw on lifetimes of experience and a self who was thousands of years old, with an incredible range of knowledge, and no small amount of practice in ‘being’.

Action?

In this case the first action step is to consider this idea, and start to free your thinking. Allowing you to see yourself as independent of this life and everyone in it. You will never hear me say that I’m just like my mum or dad, I don’t take my identity from them. I take my identity purely from within,

This step will lead you to inside out living, where the soul influences who you are and what you do, how you think and feel, and your attitude towards yourself and your life. It becomes your decision -making tool.

The beauty of living this way is that you can create a self that you like, that feels authentic, real, and you won’t allow external influences or opinions to change you. You will be able to maintain an inner strength and certainty that will hold you steady,

It’s. Very real feeling.

See how your soul feels about that. The normal, and normally correct reaction is “Of course! Yes! I know this.”

In writing this I’m clarifying my own feelings more, reaching further insights into how my sense of self has developed, and of course quietly feeling, yes, I knew this. Somewhere inside, this makes sense to me, this is me.

This is going to be a continuing thread in my blog, More tomorrow.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
