You Don’t Express Gratitude

How do you express your gratitude?

It’s a way of life. A way of thinking and feeling. A way of approaching the world

The classic meaning of gratitude is to say thank you, to maybe offer a gift to someone who has done something nice for you. However, gratitude is the lifestyle of those who believe in cosmic ordering and manifesting.

People who practice gratitude thank everything from their body, to the weather, the rain, the Sun, the clouds, the plants, the Earth, their pets, their friends, their family, the world, the universe, God. Everything good, great, and wonderful. They do their utmost to keep themselves in a place of gratitude.

It’s an emotion that leads to a happy feeling about life, of getting up in the morning and saying thank you for today, rather than “oh goodness not another day at work”.

When you live in gratitude, you very quickly identify what is not working for you, and the only sensible, practical, logical, thing to do, is change it as quickly as possible. That’s not even something that needs thinking about and due consideration.

I’ve quoted Andy Dooley many times with the saying “ nothing is more important than feeling good”, gratitude for what you do have gives you the energy to build on that. Feeling down saps your energy and you haven’t got the power within you at that moment to create change.

Many people love expressing their gratitude with flowers, cards, notes of thanks. Support for someone else when they’ve supported them. There are so many ways to express gratitude.

The most important way to express gratitude is to be in a place of joy and happiness as much as you can, whenever you can, and do that by making decisions that work for you. Then you’ll have a great deal to be grateful for.

You will also be a positive force for your friends, family, and colleagues, an uplifting presence that might actually help to make their day. It’s a giving emotion.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
