Mindset

What’s one small improvement you can make in your life?

Happiness leads to a life empowering mindset.

Focusing on joy and the smallest thing that makes you smile leads to happiness.

The world situation is ridiculous. I was going to say horrific, but the truth is that it’s pathetic. Humans killing again, for ‘respect’, for a cause, an idea, a god whose words are interpreted by men? We’re all innocent of bias of course.

We’ve become a consumer driven society. In the UK wages haven’t kept up with prices, you need to be on six figures before you will barely notice that. Imagine how those on low salaries are struggling.

We seek stuff not connections. We’ve noticed a strong move to isolationism since Covid. People would rather stay in. Mind you, going out is costly, even a beer is ridiculously expensive.

In some ways it’s good, people are finding peace at home, with family. The consumer stranglehold is starting to relax.

However, to feel better in the mind we do need to have fun. To find joy in a game of catch in the park with friends or family. Eating an ice cream sitting on a wall overlooking the sea. Group board games rather than lonely computer or phone games.

That sort thing.

I’m not alone in needing a mindset upgrade, the good news is that it doesn’t cost a penny.

If we don’t feel better in the mind then little will make us happy. If we do, the smallest things will.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
