A Happy Mind

What does freedom mean to you?

If you feel healthy and your mind is happy and peaceful, with the emphasis on the happy, what more could you possibly want?

You may be thinking ‘enough money to pay my bills’ or ‘everyone I love to be the same and they’re not’, that includes pets of course. If you are thinking that or a hundred similar things you would be right.

Obviously I’m not happy if someone or a pet I love is in trouble, I’ve just had a three month nightmare with our dear little cat (daughter) and we lost. However, even to the last hour of her life there were things that made me deeply happy, not the least of which was that in that moment she was here.

I was devastated for her, we tried so hard to save her, but I also knew what I had in that moment and I milked it for everything I could get, and absorbed her through my skin.

It was a difference created by my life training that actually took the edge off what was happening just a little bit. I suffered for her but knew to just take every precious moment I had with her and store it. I’m hurting like hell, but that did make a difference.

She’s Cat Angel number 9, plus childhood pets. So I felt that difference.

Any happiness you can find does help.

Life can be very hard, but every little bit of happiness you can find should be focused on forcefully, the memories stored for the rainy days, and make sure you feel every ounce of the gratitude for that moment.

In an odd way, or not so odd if you follow this thinking, or not odd at all if you follow the latest discoveries in science and the mind body connection, happiness is key to everything.

It’s also like anything else in life, the more you practice it the more opportunities you see, the more happiness you create, and it becomes a habit. An automatic programme.

It changes how you look at the world; what you will tolerate; the decisions you make. It gives you an awareness of what will and won’t make you happy.

I stayed with my ex for 17 years, if I’d followed this thinking he’d have been gone in week 6.

Happiness is freedom from so much faulty modern thinking.

To as much happiness as we can create in life.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
