Let’s Talk Gender

Spiritual gender is quite different to physical gender.

A soul is by gender but will probably have tried every gender during its existence, and as such is all genders. Capable of expressing all feelings and emotions.

If you really watch people carefully you will see that everyone expresses strong emotions, just in different ways. Traditional beliefs re male and female are a social misconception of the highest inaccuracy.

Women are seen as the weaker sex, But never stand in the way of a woman when she’s protecting her family! Insult my extremely strong and tough husband and I’ll take you out. Okay he doesn’t need my defence but what’s that got to do with anything? Touch one of my cats and I won’t be responsible.

Right how I’m fiercely protecting my Frister and she doesn’t need it either, but so what? You don’t get to hurt her so there!

No one emotion, attitude, or feeling, exists within one body shape. It’s a huge mistake to believe that.

Spiritual gender

Every human can express everything. Men often have to act much stronger than they feel because it’s expected of them. In reality most love deeply, worry tremendously, care enormously, and blame themselves because they should be able to help.

Social rules have trapped us all. If a man wants to just be a father he should be able to. A woman should be able to be the provider. If it works for the couple it’s right. Mind you, we’d need wage equality first.

Social rules are not the truth of gender. Nor is your body shape. Neither have anything to do with it.

Do you feel like a Wo/man?

Stop and think about it. Separate out the things that you love, social expectations, what you see in the mirror. Go into the question and into your feelings? Do you genuinely feel like what you see?

Women love football and men love dancing.

I have no concept of what being a woman feels like. I’m gender free. If I want to wear a skirt I will. If I want to wear leggings I will. I mainly wear make up because my skin is dry and the right make up actually helps.

I can do and be anything because I’m soul and my life is not dictated by human rules.

I often say I’m just a mother to my cats – but the truth of that is that I’m a parent. We lost Amie last week, my husband is no less devastated than I am.

Animals have souls too. Any true pet parent will tell you that. They are beings in their own right with rights. All animals are. They can communicate from spirit and are known for telling tales through mediums.

We are all soul consciousness.

Gender questions

Through my lovely neighbour I have heard about the number of children in schools questioning their gender. Uncomfortable in their bodies. Thinking about taking radical steps that may affect them and their health going forward. It very worrying, but the confusion is also very normal.

When I learned I was to become a woman I was horrified! When I learned that hair isn’t located only on the head I was devastated. The perfection that was me was now marred! My body wasn’t pure anymore. I didn’t want to be a grown up

I loathed my menstrual cycle from before day one, I embraced the menopause with joy. None of it ever felt right to me.

My energy is more traditionally associated with male, if anyone’s going to come straight from the shoulder as we Brits say, it will be me. Yet I don’t feel male. I feel gender neutral.

Get to know yourself

So if you’re questioning your gender, particularly a young person, don’t feel worried. Be with it. Learn to understand it. The change from child hormones to adult is extreme. You won’t know who you are or what you are, and it’s normal. Totally normal.

Get through that first.

Unfortunately we have a woke bandwagon in the UK. Trying so hard to do what’s right they’re doing damage.

You will always have autonomy over your own life. Just settle into yourself first. Just be you. Explore what it means.

You may just be a woman who prefers short hair and trousers and doesn’t want children, or a man who likes long hair, elegant clothes, great shoes, and does.

You may be happier in a same gender relationship, mixed gender, or either or. You may never need a relationship in your life, and there’s nothing wrong with that if it makes you happy.

A soul can literally be anything including totally sufficient in and of itself.

At some point you will be able to make the decision that’s right for you. No one can stop you and there is no rush.

Be at peace being confused. Dress as you wish. Wear the hairstyle you want to. Try life out. Experiment. Enjoy.

When you know you will know. Wait for that knowing.

Happiness is the only important thing. Often it’s not your gender that’s the problem. It’s life, hormones, or both.

But a soul can cope with it all.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
