What’s the most fun way to exercise?

Amalfi Drive

Sorry, same old chestnut, but it’s the only exercise for exercise’s sake I really enjoy.

Years ago I used to love my holidays, the towns in the UK were so different and unique that every step revealed something new. We walked miles on holidays.

Having been raised in south London I never really have barrier that much thought. We did have beautiful parks, and often went to the loveliest places for days out. The New Forest always comes to mind. We often went to Leaves Green in Kent. It was literally just a small area of grass, yet it was so pretty, families were there picnicking and children playing. Spent hours running after a ball there.

Perhaps living in suburbia made you appreciate the smallest piece of nature, but it didn’t connect you to nature in the way living amongst it does. As such a long nature walk isn’t my thing unless I have a camera.

One of my best walks ever was a straight 11 hours with a few breaks to rehydrate in Paris. It was blisteringly hot, weather I hate, but Paris just drew me forward. We were in our very from 9 am to 10.00 pm.

I also enjoyed Italy but we did a lot of tours so the exercise was limited between wows! The Vatican! Sorrento! Not much walking in Monte Casino, but wow. The Amalfi drive! Beyond wow.

Sedona Arizona – why sit down!

The thing with most exercise is it bores me, but walking somewhere interesting where there is a lot to see and do, I can accidentally exercise that way for days on end!

Embrace the joy!

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
