The Wedding Date

What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?

All of you

I’m not sure it’s five times but it’s definitely my stand alone most watched movie. Dermot Mulroney is a very fine actor, and Debra Messing irritated the heck out of me for a lot of the movie in a way that was nothing short of brilliant.

Any actor that can make you feel strong emotion is a genius. It’s not my fault, who in their right mind would hesitate if Dermot Mulroney was interested?

He’d probably say:

“Will you…”

I’d scream and run round in circles yelling “Yes, yes, a thousand times yes”

“Join me for coffee?” (Extremely puzzled look.)

“I Love coffee! Do they have Arabica?” (Extremely disappointed look.)

He’s not ageing as well as my husband though! (Sulk saving disclaimer – but true.)

Mission (Oscar) Impossible

The Mission Impossible series is up there when it comes to franchises. I’ve watched that series through at least twice and probably would again. I’ve seen the first two about three times.

I know it’s not a universally popular opinion, but I love Tom Cruise and think he’s the finest actor that will probably never win an Oscar, due to the prejudice against his religion. As if there are no skeletons in the cupboards of other religions. However, he’s so successful that millions obviously agree with me, and also mind their own business.

Shooting for the stars

When it comes to TV it’s Star Trek. The original series and the next Generation. I haven’t watched the others but I found them on streaming TV and will give them a go.

I also enjoy all the films, including the Chris Pine franchise. He, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban were pitch perfect. Respecting the original whilst making it their own. There is nothing like a new jarring note ruining the memories of an old favourite.

What was particularly great was that Zoe Saldana was able to be a more empowered Uhura, one might say like the late and lovely Nichelle Nichols herself. Again, a respectfully faultless performance.

I know we’ve watched the entire Next Gen series twice. We’re on our second run through Lucifer.

What’s in a number?

I also know I’ve cheated a bit on numbers, but an entire series must count as more than 5. The next Gen was 7 boxes sets long.

A film franchise is often more than two films. We’ve watched the Hunger Games three times, so that’s 12 films. Twilight twice, that’s 8 films.

So, with a bit of flexing the question (as usual), that’s my answer. 🤣

What? I am a creative writer! 🤣

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
