Not Woo Woo You You

There are many opinions on the work of psychics and mediums, two entirely different abilities. Psychics read you and the world around them, mediums can be contacted by the soul energy of those who have passed.

All mediums are psychics, but not all psychics are mediums. That doesn’t matter. It’s not a competition and both abilities have equally important uses.

However, as we’re all psychic to one extent or another, and psychic ability can be utilised in your own life, by you, no third party required.

It’s a wonderful way to get past your thinking to the truth.

This blog is about the psychic sense of sight.

In mediums the sense of sight is clairvoyance, clear seeing. I’ve only had two brief experiences of that and I honestly didn’t realise that the people I saw weren’t alive in this realm. They were that real. The psychic sense of sight is insight for yourself or others.

Psychic self-help

The sixth sense is made up of the other five senses: touch, taste, sight, hearing, smell. The best way I can put it is that you kind of bring all those things together in your mind’s eye, and tune into them.

It’s odd how you can use the combined senses, to bypass logic and understand what you’re really feeling. It’s also useful.

For example, you’re feeling low, you’re out on a walk, look around you and focus on the first thing that really grabs your attention, something that makes you stop and look.

Maybe it’s a tree, what sort of tree? The ancients applied meanings to different trees, you can look those meanings up on line.

However, to you it’s just a green thing with a trunk and leaves. Look at it.

  • What season is it? Spring: new beginnings. What do you want to create this year?Summer: take notice of what is and isn’t working in your life, in summer we tend the strongest crops and weed out the rest. Autumn: we harvest, what do you want to keep in your life? Winter: We rest and take stock. If you choose an evergreen in winter think about what that means to you? Always productive, or never take time to rest?
  • Is the tree young, middle aged or old? These stages of or lives have meanings, apply them to where you are. An old tree could suggest that you feel old beyond your years? Or is the tree telling you that despite the number on the clock you are still youthful and vibrant and should act that way? A middle aged tree might suggest that you’re in a bit of a rut at the moment and life needs a shake up. A sapling could mean new beginnings, or yes you should carry on with this new step in life.
  • Is the tree vibrant and full of life? Particularly interesting if it’s an old tree, that’s a good message. Are there dead branches scattered through the tree? That suggests that a lot needs to be let go from your life. One dead branch can suggest a recent loss (not just a passing anything you didn’t want to let go), but the rest of the tree is fine and you will be too. It may also suggest that yes that job, relationship, house needs to go.

I could go on and on in this section, but that will give you some ideas to start working with.

What’s the point?

To get in touch with your inner feelings and bypass the mind chatter. Instead of thinking about the problem ask yourself why you picked that tree, rock, pebble, puddle, cow with a marking shaped like Australia when you’ve been thinking about going there/emigrating.

Use all your five senses to your benefit. The mind is not a sense and that makes a lot of sense sometimes.

When you look, listen, touch, taste, smell, you ask yourself how those things make you feel. I’ve been really upset about something in the past and just one visual has made a world of difference. The feeling has bypassed the stressed mind and I’ve just known that everything is going to be okay.

For example; I’ve often had rotten birthdays. One year I asked spirit if I could see a balloon on my birthday. I was thinking hot air balloon. We went out to an arboretum, I twisted my ankle before we got to the door. We drove home again. No balloon, mega disappointment.

When we got home there were two birthday balloons caught in our neighbour’s tree. They did stay there overnight, but what if a wind had shifted them whilst we were in the arboretum? We’re right on the edge of a forest, those balloons could have been caught anywhere. That was an uplifting day. Never felt so spoilt in my life.

The important point

Is that this is about you and only you. I’ve given you some ideas but if you see a tree in an entirely different way then that’s absolutely the right way.

This way of living is about listening to yourself, trusting yourself, silencing the mind to find inner truth. It’s creative thinking that you can then test against logical thinking. Work out how to make what you truly want happen.

The mind relays all the angst training in the body back to you. If you’ve been told you’re useless at everything, that emotion is a trained reaction that will be spit back at you every time someone questions what you want to do or try. But you’ll be the one saying you’ll never get a job like that, a wage that good, find love. You’ll be the one undermining yourself.

Guess how I know this is right. 🙄🤣

Kicking your inner knowing into gear helps you to live at an entirely new level, a you-centred level where you don’t make decisions based on the thoughts or opinions of others, or what society expects you to do. A 9-5 job may not be your thing. Your career would be based in something you love.

I should have been a journalist. I love people, politics, truth, and I would have taken great joy in writing challenging pieces, including our role in politics and why a lot of the problems stem from our entrenched thinking. I wasn’t raised to have one ounce of initiative, or think outside the box.

I’ve well and truly smashed that box now, due to this thinking.

So that’s a bit about guiding your own life on a more life enhancing, authentic level. Freeing yourself to be yourself. Hope it’s been useful.

Just don’t dismiss it as weird, it’s all about using every ability you have to our own benefit. You wouldn’t buy a 50 piece toolkit and only use the hammer, don’t ignore the most natural and personal tool in your human toolkit because someone else doesn’t believe in it. Try it, test it, get to know it. Decide for yourself.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
