I Have no Idea

If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

War is a bad word, but two words put together ‘stop war’ are good. If you banned the word war you’d only get conflict, or special operation. Or even ‘you made me do it even though I started it’.

There are words that make me cringe when other people say them but I can’t bring them to mind at the moment. Expect a blog of cringey words when I remember. Actually lush is one but I wouldn’t ban it l.

I’d ban the word hate and everything that goes with it.

However, is it more important to ban the word or the actions? So I’d ban all war, violence, and racism.

Thinking on it, nationalism is a bad word as it‘s at the bottom of a lot of war and violence. We’re all soul.

I did think about ‘Boris Johnson’. I’d like never to hear that name again but that’s too much to hope. I can’t even bear to say the name Farage. I stick with liar on both counts.

Fox hunting, yes it’s supposed to be banned and yes those who think they’re above the law still do it. So I wouldn’t ban the word scum. I’d ban them.

I do have one word that really makes me shudder, ‘dark’ when it’s put in front of the word chocolate.

I love the dark, I find it comforting. I love dark skin, I find it majestic (truly), I love a pitch black sky full of stars. But dark chocolate!

That is a step too far.

There I did have an idea!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Happy Sunday

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
