I’m talking about the UK here – this may not be true in other countries.
It stuns me how much people go on and about the fact that they can’t trust politicians.
Have they actually taken any notice of the way the innocent public behave?
Spam calls – not politicians.
Social media witch hunts – not politicians.
Killing people in the streets – not politicians.
Selling drugs that kill – not politicians.
Stealing from others – not politicians.
Violence against the person including women and children – not politicians.
Costs fall, companies refuse to lower prices in the shops. British Gas report record profits whilst telling us the costs have gone up so we can’t afford to heat our homes.
Police we can no longer trust. Mysogeny in the free brigade. Violence against women and children. Lying, cheating, stealing.
Tearing each other apart on social media, ripping into strangers, peddling lies, spreading false information. All us.
There are so many things that the government don’t do, yet it’s easier to focus on politicians than it is to look at ourselves and the true state of our society, driven by the people, and ask ourselves how we can help to make the world a better place.
Any little thing that anyone can do to add to the good in this world is beyond priceless.
I can’t see how this society can improve, but until we stop blaming a mere 650 people nothing will change.
Integrity and self honesty
Let’s face our problems head on, take responsibility, and realise that there is a lot of good that we can do that will make a difference. Including move away from companies making obscene profits.
When we see nastiness on social media let’s call it what it is. Or block until those people are in a cess pool all alone and only poison each other.
Let’s call for peace whenever we can.
Every little helps!
