The Blame Game

I’ve just seen a news item where people are targeting Western embassies because they blame the West for their problems.

I’m not saying that the West have a lot to be proud of, there are parts of history that make me proud and others that make me cringe, in equal measure.

When I observe the wider world I feel exactly the same. There are countries screaming about historic slavery whilst slavery is still a thing on their own continent. People are being trafficked.

This is where blame gets you, you miss your own truth. You feel right by making others seem wrong. You’re blameless, and also powerless.

Internalise

No matter what anyone else has done, in the past or recently, no matter whether we’re talking globally, nationally, or personally, blame is a powerless emotion.

All any of us have is ourselves, right here, right now. If we don’t change it then it won’t change.

Power

If you don’t like the way your country is, be part of the solution.

If you were hurt in the past only you can take the actions necessary to move past it.

The past is gone. You’re recreating it in your own mind over and over again, living trapped in a time loop. Only you can stop, take stock of your now, and work with it.

You are not where you are because some unknown people have done better than you in life. You are where your life training and the attitude and decisions of the adults around you, led you. Training you took on and continue to manifest. Those unknown people don’t know you exist. They had no effect on you.

If your attitude is poisoning your life, change it.

At the end of the day only one question counts:

Do you want to be happy or not?

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
