I cannot believe that I’m the 21st Century. How come two world wars wasn’t enough to tell the leaders of all kinds in this world that killing is wrong?
How can a religion be more important than a life? If you kill for it how can it be a religion?
When will humanity learn that we have blamed unseen deities for centuries, that men have translated their words, undoubtedly ‘sure’ that’s what a god or his messenger really meant?
Can people really imagine for one second that a loving God gives anyone permission to kill His children? That he loves one more than the other?
The god argument
When will humans understand that we name our gods in our language, and if they believe there is only one god, then everyone who believes that is in agreement? That Jaweh, translates to God translates to Allah translates to all the other names of the highest deities.
English speakers wouldn’t have used the word Allah, it wasn’t in their vocabulary. Knowing this a wise and knowing God would have given English speakers the name in their language, ditto everyone else.
What if, despite our perceived divisions, there is no division?
What if God is love?
There are stories in history of warmongering men who, when touched by the mind of their god, fell to their knees and were immediately changed They became peacemakers because in the face of that love they could not kill.
Do we really believe the old stories now?
I don’t. Through my work I was introduced to a different idea. Here it is:
- There is a beautiful energy out there.
- It will help anyone.
- It has no race, colour, religion, or belief.
- It is beyond wise, and just love.
- It is a universal power not owned nor contained by any one planet.
- It has many incredible beings working with it to help us out.
- It doesn’t care about race, gender, colour, or religion. It cares about us and our barriers mean nothing to that power.
- We are all, without exception, children of the universe. All equal.
Would it hurt so much to believe this?
It would certainly do a great deal of good.
