The Weird and Wonderful Winners

If you started a sports team, what would the colors and mascot be?

Would wear purple and gold and their mascot would be a winged unicorn!

Their game is spreading happiness. Together with their opponents they seek to do the most good and spread the most happiness during a game. The crowd are monitored and their happiness rating is measured, if they reach pure joy then a bonus is added to the final score.

Should either team be in a mood that day, they are sent off for hot chocolate, cake, and strawberries. Any unhappy member of the crowd is sent with them.

Things aren’t going quite to plan though, as every team is declaring themselves to be somewhat put out on arrival at games, the fans are claiming extreme levels of angst over the terrible state of their teams, and as a consequence the food and drink bill is stratospheric.

We know we’re getting something wrong and are working to sort it out, slowly. It’s quite upsetting and thank goodness we have treats to get us through all this stress.

The consensus between the organisers, teams, and fans is that we are certain that we will have this sorted but we can’t confirm in which century.

P.S. the waiting list to join a team was closed after the first billion applications, and we have more supporters than all the top football teams put together, doubled, and multiplied by all the stars in the cosmos twice! Eat your heart out Premiere League.

P.P.S. Have you seen our unicorn? He’s large, white, and was last seen carrying half a chocolate cake! Little tea-leaf (English colloquial term for thieving ratbag)!

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
