Why?

Why?
Why what?
Why did you do something?
Why are you feeling something?
Why aren't you changing something?

Do you know the answers to these questions?
If you don't it matters and doesn't matter
It doesn't matter because it's okay not to know
It matters because you're trying to change
What you don't know
What that something is

Something you haven't decided on
Because you're not in touch
With your feelings or your truth
Be still and rest
Ponder
Don't rush and hurry
The future will wait for you

If you dash into the future
Frantically trying anything and everything
You'll be like an unguided
Guided missile
You could create a huge disaster
Anywhere

Work out the why
The why you're asking why
Don't second-guess the past
You did your best as the person you were at the time
Don't criticise your younger self
That's a waste of more time

The details
Career - relationship - house - mess
Are unimportant
They may feel like everything
But they're all small things
That can be sorted out
Put right
Now...

See where you are
Decide what you need in your life
And do that before you try to change anything
Don't take one random or urgent thing in your life
And change only that
Look at the whole
Take an holistic view

When your life works as one thing
When every area compliments every other
When your life works as a whole
(You'll know this as you'll be happy everywhere)
Then you will have worked out your why
Acted on it
And you will reap the benefits

Remember
It's never why did I?
It's always what do I need and how can I get it?

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
