The Wisdom of Marcus Aurelius II

The man himself in his new improved incarnation

I handed over a small section of my old newsletter to The Wisdom of Charliehawk. It was by far the most popular section, despite all my efforts at wisdomness and usefulness. When Charlie died so did his column.

I did this to stop inspiration being a heavy thing, the lighter we can keep our thoughts the easier they are to deal with, and laughter is of course one on the two best medicines, the other being chocolate…I mean ice cream…I mean sleep!!!!

Wisdom of the ages

As you will know, cats have no problems with confidence, and this guy is now mature enough to take over the mantle.

He’s a gorgeous being, very gentle, hates fighting, but has to stand up to both his brothers at times after due provocation. He has a beautiful energy and is the sweetest cuddler.

Like all leaders there are rules though. A specific chair, a specific time of day, a specific position on dad’s shoulder, mine aren’t big enough but he does try. Head kisses, and firm hugs. He’s also not above chest flirting and belly temptation when on his cat stand.

So, when inspiration abandons me I will hand over to him.

My first wisdomness

Humans are very complex. Cats are not. I expect to be adored and accept nothing less. You should be the same.

You all make excuses why people are not nice, and I will concede a small amount of compassion as they’re not cats, but even so, there are no excuses for not nice.

People say that cats are cold as they will ignore you if they feel like it. None of us do that as mum and dad never ignore us. We’re loved, fussed, cuddled, and fed everyday. So we feel safe enough to love.

Don’t make excuses for hurty things – find somewhere you’re loved and safe. Many of you are cool and brilliant, and coming from a cat that’s praise indeed.

You should stick your tail in the air and depart if you’re in a hurty situation.

You do have tails under those clotheses don’t you?

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
