Getting up/Housework

What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?

I’m a night owl, my natural body clock means I don’t go to sleep until after midnight as a rule, tend to wake about 8, but have always had to psych myself up to face the day.

As soon as darkness falls I relax. The energy out there calms down. It’s called being an empath. Empathy is deep understanding. Empaths feel what you feel, exactly as you’re feeling it. It helps greatly with understanding – we’re the ‘get out of my head’ people. What it doesn’t help with is walking through a world of stressed, unhappy, scared, people.

It’s hell out there for so many in so many different ways. We also don’t know quite how far our energy reaches on the picking up business, it could be global. It’s tiring but I wouldn’t be without it. It helps me to help people…

Housework

…Sorry for the hiatus, I had to have a lie down to cope with this subject.

Sometimes I really feel ready for housework, on those days I move everything, dust everything, polish everything. This is to make up for the times I skip round the centre of the rooms and pretend the edges don’t exist , and dust doesn’t go underneath furniture.

Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it, but I tend to wait for one of two things. The floor to look like the Mojave Desert with tumbleweeds of cat fur, or the right mood. The fur usually wins.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
