Too Easy

Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

This kind of joy vibe!

World peace day. Celebrated with music, song, dance, virtual international get togethers (until teleporting is a thing), and laughing at the ridiculous ways of the 21st Century.

Being reminded of the stupidity of this world right now would be a key part of the celebration. Every aspect of the mess of this world would be repeated and the only compulsory thing you’d have to do to make sure the few world never forgets. It would be law to watch it. Behaving respectfully to all would be a law too, as well as animals, the planet, and all living things.

What a beautiful, beautiful dream! What a worthwhile dream! In a world where leaders who start wars or incite riots are seen as strong, this is the perfect dream for billions of people the world over.

A world of full peace and inclusion where race, gender, colour, are not even things. Where people laugh that anyone ever cared. As to religion, there would be none. There would be a world agreement on a new way based on respect and inclusion.

Commit a crime against the person, or abuse or murder an animal and you would go to prison for life, doesn’t matter what the crime is. But the beauty would be that your memories could be accessed and read, any judgement would be made from there. Prisons would be humane, manned by robots, you just never leave. No appeals. After all you convicted yourself.

Hopefully that would only be a thing for a very short while though. Who would want to commit a crime? Mental illness would either be cured or dealt with compassionately until it could be cured.

I love technology! Imagine, someone with a mental illness goes into a psychotic episode. The wristband they wear senses it. An alarm goes off. A dose of a relaxing drug is immediately administered, helpers teleport to their side. Problem solved. That’s where technology could rock.

I could go on and on about this dream, which is of course perfect cosmic ordering. An entirely happy, healthy, inclusive world with simple rules. Thou shalt not harm anything including yourself.

If you believe in cosmic ordering please hold the vision. If you don’t please do the same.

And yes, I do know there’s an International Day of Peace, but it doesn’t mean anything does it? Not really.

Perhaps a more appropriate name for my day would be World Not Fearful Day. What? You thought that people who commit violence, leaders who draw their countries into war are strong? of course you didn’t, we’re thinkers. Too many do though.

Hold the vision of that first global celebration and the thousands to follow it. Stand up to the nonsense of violent speech, make it clear you think it’s childish. Take away their hero capes and treat them with the pity and contempt they deserve.

We all deserve better. What will you wear to the first celebration?

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
