Killing is wrong

What’s something you believe everyone should know.

Yes I know I’m normally more creative than this but to be honest, the amount of killing in a so called modern world beggars belief, as do the number of reasons for killing being okay. It’s war not murder. War is deliberate mass murder. The immense cruelty we hear of in the Ukraine, Middle East, areas of Africa, Syria, make me feel we’re less civilised than cave men. Yet there’s always a ‘good’ reason.

Since 1914/18 world ‘leaders’ have considered it to be war when they flatten cities and towns with the ordinary people still in the buildings or area. That’s not war it’s genocide and too many countries are guilty. Yet we will not learn and murderers are admired by too many.

Even in our streets we see things I never expected to see. Machetes on the streets of the UK, that’s one import we didn’t need.

So I’m restating the blindingly obvious because it clearly isn’t obvious enough. War is killing. Start a war, kill for a cause, and you are nothing more than a stone cold murderer.

However

What I would really like people to know is that peace, love, respect, and inclusion take far more courage and determination than any killer ever demonstrates.

Just believing in goodness takes immense strength and sheer stubbornness.

Not slamming someone’s head against a wall and screaming in their faces that they are garbage, weak, pathetic, requires every prayer you have, to keep you on track.

The truth is we all need to know that love is the only emotion worth having.

It’s actually immensely hard as all believers in human rights know, because the dark side is winning, partly because the decent people don’t stand up enough. There are billions of people in this world silently screaming no, scream it loudly. We are all this world has that’s truly courageous.

Peace

Respect

Inclusion

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
