God

Who are your favorite artists?

The scientist Frank Wilczek says in his book ‘A Beautiful Question’ that he believes God to be the ultimate creative artist. That the Earth is an artistic experiment where the boundaries were pushed to the limits. I agree that it is a work of art and a scientific marvel, only compromised by us.

When you travel through this world there is something different around every corner. The sky changes endlessly and never ceases to surprise. So many places and trees grow that it seems impossible to know all of them, and even a short flight will reveal miracles.

The Hopi and Navajo people see Sedona in Arizona as a living Cathedral. Nature as our church. It’s a deeply moving thought.

The more humble artist

I like Monet for his colours. Van Gogh for his bright blues and yellows.

I love Johann Strauss, Mozart, a group from the 90s called Zazen who are not well known but put together the most amazing, lyrical sounds.

I love dancers, singers, and writers. All the people who take the world and present it in a different way. Creating rivers in music, sunsets in paint, and bringing places I may never visit into the pages of a book.

I love photography, I’ve caught some really amazing shots over the years, but I find it sad now that the camera can be made to lie. A photographer catches a moment and preserves it through time. It doesn’t need enhancement.

All art is beautiful, but God/nature has us beat. If only we respected it more.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx

  1. God is the most brilliant artist, architect, ever. Think of the colour and markings of butterflies, birds flowers, plants, the architecture and engineering. The human body is a start! The design and function is too amazing to start thinking too deeply. All flowers and plants, where common all garden or exotic – the symmetry. , Every single animal, vegetable or otherwise is a wondrous creation. For that I give thanks. 🙏🏻
