Cats Rule

What would you do if you lost all your possessions?

To lose all your possessions would be heartbreaking as many are attached to memories. If you’re insured those that are not special can be replaced. If you’re not insured because you can’t afford it, that’s is an entirely different and more upsetting story.

I do think that most humans would cope and rebuild as long as everyone and every pet they love was safe. It might be hard and scary, but most people have hearts in exactly the right place.

I talk cats as apart from my hubby, they’re all that live in our house.

Interestingly

If I had to rebuild I would have far fewer possessions. Over the years I’ve collected many things that mean something to me. Plus a couple of small heirlooms. Probably I’d start collecting again, and why not if it means something to you.

See a bison of all things in a visualisation when you’re a Brit and they’re not exactly common in your country, then walk into a charity shop and find a glass bison statuette. What’s not to love?!

The good news here though is that you can declutter possessions at any time, without having to have a crisis. The main thing you have to learn to do is let go.

Of course I have a life point 🤣

Much like life. Declutter before you start to hate your job, move away from the house or area where you’re unhappy. Let go of the wrong person as soon as you know they’re not the right person, way before you move in with them, preferably before you have children, and definitely before you marry them.

To the right people, places, and things.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx

  1. All my jewellery was stolen by a team of cleaners who did a deep clean just after Bill’s funeral. I was incapacitated due to an accident. All gifts from my parents or heirlooms. Very sentimental. I dread to think of the value. I didn’t realise it had been stolen from my jewellery box for some time. I was distraught. Probably £10k plus. Of course I miss it. One piece was a one’off’, a gold Concorde brooch made to scale, my father’s gift. Priceless. I don’t normally place value of]n material things but this devastated me. Still very upset. I’d rather give things away than have it stolen.
