Oh Lord!
Will my supporters forget me? Will my numbers collapse? How could I possibly have allowed myself to become busy?
What on earth will I do when I go on holiday? I’ll have to take my tablet with me. I can’t afford to be forgotten.
Then there’s social media! Harassing me! You haven’t replied to these two comments that happened 30 seconds ago. Stay in touch with your supporters several times a day (or they’ll abandon your butt inside an hour). Pay for an advert to get millions of followers or you’re NO ONE!
Seriously
From remembering to blog everyday, to never missing a comment. (An advert for Luxe looks for the home just popped up while I was writing this. Why do I need Luxe? I like welcoming. More I’m going to have an un luxe lounge! I don’t have time for this!) To needing to build hundreds and thousands of followers on Facebook. We’re under so much pressure to succeed in the tens of thousands.
Yet success must be built, but we all know that social media is so saturated and overwhelmed by adverts, that in truth it’s not that easy to build a meaningful following. On the business side everyone follows everyone else, but they don’t interact. I reciprocate with everyone that follows me, but between everything I have to do to avoid disappearing into obscurity, as well as housework etc., I’m a bit discombobulated.
And breathe
In truth this blog and the support from fellow bloggers is the easiest, most successful, and most relaxing thing I’ve done. I love writing blogs.
We all need to take a breath, do what we love, and focus where the connections are real and successful.
Everyone I read on here has important messages beautifully crafted and developed into something useful that makes me want to come back. It’s also more relaxing than social media, plus it’s easy to put a bit of time aside here and there to read, follow, like. More importantly…it’s worthwhile reading. Some social media is brilliant, equally well put together, you just have to find it among the cat photos and pictures of todays supper. 🤣🤣🤣
Off to do some reading.
Happy weekend
Avoid unnecessary stress and focus your focus!
