I’ve reached the age where certainty seems like something of a myth. So much that I thought was clear and definite was never that way, they were just the ideas of youth. So many things that used to be clear and definite are now old-fashioned, or surpassed by technology. As such my certainty and uncertainty have about a millimetre between them.

Ten things?

  1. I’m certain that I don’t know more than I do.
  2. I’m certain that I have a lot more to learn
  3. I’m certain that life is simple if we’d only stop complicating.
  4. I’m certain that the world keeps turning, otherwise we’d fly off.
  5. As a UK resident I’m certain that I will never know what the weather will do next, and I can’t trust the forecast.
  6. I’m certain that this world not only needs more kindness, it also needs more respect for kindness. Kindness is not a weakness, it takes b*lls of steel to be kind.
  7. I’m certain that children deserve better than we’re delivering.
  8. I’m certain that the planet deserves far more respect.
  9. I’m certain that the animal kingdom needs us to wake up so that it can survive.
  10. I’m certain that love is the most important emotion in the world, with all the add ons it brings with it: Happiness, joy, laughter, hugs, conversations, shared experiences.

There may be other things but I’m not certain I can bring them to mind.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
