This book is exactly what it says, a handbook for change. Most parents do their utmost to raise their children well, but by the time they’ve done what they can, school has had a go at shaping you, and you’ve made a few mistakes, you can land up feeling lost and a bit disappointed in your life.

For many people turning to mental health support doesn’t feel necessary, things aren’t quite right, but they’re doing okay, if only things were better. For others they do need mental health support, but may still feel that something is missing.

Real change

It’s easy to tinker at the edges of change, but far more effective to become a new person who doesn’t have those problems.

When the saying “If you do as you’ve always done you will get what you’ve always got” was coined, they forgot that it’s your thoughts, ideas, and beliefs that drive all that doing and getting. As in if you think as you’ve always thought…and so on. Of course those thoughts, ideas, and beliefs may not even be yours. I changed a lot of mine.

Change your mind change your life!

This book is obviously a self-help book, but where it differs is that it also offers a completely different way to look at and approach life. I’ve found that spiritual thinking leads to tweaks in the way we behave that are oh so simple, and extremely effective. The most important thing is to have ideas that help you become the person you want to be, lose the unsuitable (for you) programming, and chase down those dreams.
