What’s a moment when a stranger completely restored your faith in people?

I never lost my faith in people. There are 8.3 billion people in this world and the vast majority are good people.
That’s a fact otherwise each country would be a prison with a few small enclaves for those willing to be decent and honourable.
True our societies are not in great shape. False that people are bad. Some people are.
If you’re going to have a reality check you can’t ignore the fact that crime is at an all time high in many countries.
Lying and cheating is on the increase. Supermarkets price gouging. Giving you ‘discounts’ rather than dropping prices when supplies settle down after a crop failure etc.
They’re the ultimate liars. I’ve noticed for decades that if the cocoa crop fails the price of chocolate and coffee shoot up and never fall again. They will do ‘special offers’ though. I despise that.
There are many areas where silent crime is rife, but supermarkets are my pet irritation. They sell food!!!! They inflate prices at Christmas! It’s inhumane and they’re contributing to poverty and creating more of it.
Then we have politicians who spend their lives being “absolutely clear”, failing to answer the question, and achieving very little.
There is too much talk in some countries and not enough doing.
I could go on but no matter where you are you will probably resonate in some way.
Having proven I’m not unrealistic about my society, or people, I will always stand by the fact that I won’t pass judgement on those I don’t know, and I won’t define people by what I don’t know.
As to strangers restoring my faith, on a bad day a smile will do that. A pet, a rainbow, a bird, I can find magic everywhere.
Best love
